olive wood is quite hard and the grain is tight.it also has natural olive oil in the wood (smells like olives) which makes it ideal for cooking utensils.
these took hours and hours to shape and sand.
about a month after i finished making these my family went on a trip to tunisia.
tunisia has an abundance of olive trees.
utensils that look exactly like these were being sold everywhere and literally cost 2 dollars apiece.
frustration.
