i made this back in 2007.
the body is mahogany and shaped how it is to avoid the daunting task of curving the wood.
i took all the measurements from an other ukulele and basically just made it up as i went along.
it was sort of like building a box, with a neck stuck on.
the neck is also mahogany.
the fretboard is either bocote or rosewood, i cant remember now.
the frets are mandolin fretwire, cut and hammered in by hand.
everything is handmade except the tuners.
the bridge is made from offcuts of the bocote/rosewood and the mahogany neck.
personally i think it's the nicest sounding ukulele i've heard.
very mellow sounding.
maybe i'm bias...
